Meet the Team

The Student Affairs, Diversity, and Inclusion team provides a wide range of services developed to support and complement the student experience for students of all academic levels enrolled at the Valencia campus. The team seeks to provide students with the services and support systems needed to ensure their wellbeing and, ultimately, their success. They seek to enrich the student experience by cultivating active leaders, community builders, and global citizens through a wealth of extracurricular opportunities for growth and development.

Clara Barberá

Director of Student Affairs, Diversity and Inclusion and Deputy Equity Officer

Clara Barberá (she/her) joined Berklee Valencia in 2011. In her current role, she manages many of the support structures and resources at the Valencia campus—from housing and student policies to health and wellness—as well as curates community involvement opportunities, like student leadership and co-curricular programming, for all Valencia students. 

Barberá also chairs the diversity and inclusion strategy for Valencia, and acts as the deputy equity officer for this campus, actively working to provide a safe and caring environment, free of discrimination and harassment, where all Berklee Valencia community members can thrive.

Barberá has a bachelor's degree in business studies from UK's Open University, a master's degree in arts management from the Instituto Complutense de Ciencias Musicales in Spain, and is certified by the Royal Academy of Dance. With a background in dance (she was a soloist dancer with English National Ballet and Rambert Dance Company in London), she's also a founding member of UK's New Movement Collective. In her free time, she enjoys cultural outings, particularly around dance, as well as practicing yoga, cycling, listening to music of all genres, and spending quality time with family and friends. Daniela Tanner

Daniela Tanner

Health and Wellness Manager 

Daniela Tanner (she/her) joined Berklee as health and wellness manager in 2023. She has more than 20 years of experience in production and administrative roles, including in the field of higher education, and has lived in Spain, Britain, and the US. She has a degree in physiotherapy and a master's degree in psychotherapy, as well as undergraduate and graduate degrees in the humanities and the social sciences. Antonio Muñoz Ballester

Senior Coordinator for Housing and Student Services, Valencia

Antonio Muñoz Ballester joined Berklee as student affairs administration coordinator. Prior to Berklee, he worked as a booking agent and was head of production at prominent music management and booking companies in Valencia, Spain, working with world-renowned jazz and world artists. 

He has a bachelor's degree in politics and international relations from the University of Bristol, and is highly interested in world affairs, history, and political philosophy.

In his free time, he enjoys all outdoor activities and sports, and has a passion for surfing and traveling. He is also an active musician. You can reach him at amunoz6@berklee.edu.


 

Diana Prieto

Diana Prieto Viñas 

Student Engagement Coordinator, Valencia

Diana Prieto Viñas serves as the student engagement coordinator, where she champions a vibrant, inclusive campus culture. Her extensive portfolio includes overseeing student leaders, the student advisory board, student clubs, diversity grants, and key initiatives within the Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan and the Sustainability Committee. Prieto Viñas also orchestrates major community milestones such as orientation, speaker series, cultural observations, community and culture outings, and ongoing student support.

She holds a master’s degree in intercultural education and brings valuable experience from her previous role as the assistant director of the Center for Race, Ethnicity, and Diversity Education at Elon University in North Carolina. Passionate about social justice and driven by self-awareness and adaptability, she specializes in working with students and maximizing learning opportunities in diverse settings. She has extensive travel, study, and residence experiences across Spain, the UK, India, Honduras, Nicaragua, and the US. Outside of her work at Berklee, Prieto Viñas is an avid traveler and reader who loves hiking with her dog and relaxing at the beach.
