Alumna Tess Tyler, Composer and Lecturer

“The support, kindness, and passion that I felt during my time at Berklee has carried into my social and professional life to this day. Personally, I think that this is a unique quality that cannot be replicated anywhere else.” Tess Tyler M.M. ‘14 is currently composing and developing a contemporary re-score of the 1920s Soviet film Man with a Movie Camera with Women Make Music as well as scoring a series of short horror films directed by Chris Cronin.

At Berklee Valencia, Gender Equality Tops the Agenda

Diversity grants are awarded to students who propose activities that focus on at least one of the following areas: access and equity, community engagement, career development, community learning and development, and expanding outlooks. Two of this year’s awardees, Women in Music and She Knows Tech, celebrated the contribution of women in music by focusing on the diversity of roles within the industry, seeking to create opportunities for women and empower the female student population through workshops, and talks by female guests who lead by example.

Berklee Valencia Awards Three Scholarships to Female Applicants for the 2018–2019 Academic Year

Berklee’s campus in Valencia, Spain awarded entering students Laura Blasco Llopis and Kimberly Kate Ellwanger and continuing student Zoe Schneider merit- and need-based scholarships, covering up to 70 percent of the tuition fees for Berklee’s graduate programs.
