The mission of the International Career Center (ICC) is to provide expert guidance, cutting-edge resources, and professional development experiences to help our diverse body of students achieve their career goals. Rather than acting as a one-time job link, our overall focus is on career management. We help you access available resources and activities and apply them to your career path.
While on campus all students get to experience, along with the academic program, a set of group workshops, one-on-one advising appointments, company presentations, performance opportunities, and other career related activities that will enhance their professional profile.
Craft Your Career Plan
Planning one’s career is essential for a successful professional outcome. The ICC works side by side with students on campus to help develop attainable goals throughout the year.
Sharpen Your Professional Skills
The ICC provides workshops featuring the tools and skills needed to improve students’ professional profiles, both online and offline. Our main objective is to equip students during their time at Berklee with a confident grasp on self management.
Meet the Industry
Students will be exposed to numerous opportunities within the industry, both on and off campus. The ICC helps to maximize those encounters with an eye towards strengthening their professional network.
From Student to Professional
As a student you decide how much time you want to dedicate to prepare for your career and how intensively you will work towards securing your dream job. To help with this transition, the ICC works with you, the student, to discover, define, develop, and distinguish yourself as a music professional. For example, more than 80 percent of the students who use the ICC’s services feel more prepared to enter the music industry upon completion of their graduate program.
Watch the ICC's video to get an overview of what we offer.
Career Advising
The ICC staff provides one-on-one career guidance to help you on your career path. At a personal development meeting, held with each student throughout the year, the ICC can help guide you in your search for an international career path that aligns with your professional goals.
Career Seminars and Workshops
Every academic year, the ICC hosts more than 25 events to promote the advancement of your career in music, including presentations from industry professionals, and workshops.
Seminar and workshop topics include:

The ICC has many resources available to help with your job search process. Resources include Berklee Career Manager, online periodicals, subscription-based reference directories, and materials created by the ICC, to name a few.
Mentorship Programs
There are several ways that students can seek mentorship through the International Career Center. In addition to the one-on-one mentoring sessions that are held throughout the year with visiting professionals and the mentoring and music feedback sessions held during the Global Career Summit, there are three programs specifically designed to curate mentorship.
These programs include the Junior Mentorship program, designed to help First Year Abroad students in their transition to the Boston campus, the 6-Month Mentorship program, an extended series of sessions between select current students and high profile Berklee alumni, and the Valencia Alumni Ambassador program, in which students are able to connect online with more than fifty Valencia campus alumni around the world.

The ICC welcomes industry professionals to participate in workshops, panels, and offer one-on-one mentoring throughout the year. The ICC workshops cover a wide range of topics so as to best appeal to the entire student body. Past workshop topics include time management, how to start your website, the best ways to market your release, and a Q&A with an artistic director, among others.
