Outside the Classroom
When you're on campus, you'll find yourself in the midst of a multitude of cultures, backgrounds, and styles. Berklee is well known for the diversity of students and faculty and, on the Valencia campus, we celebrate the musical creations and cutting-edge ideas that come from this blend of culture and backgrounds.
Graduate students come from all over the world and bring a wide range of experiences to share on campus during the year-long program in Valencia. Students are the center of campus life, as they turn classrooms into laboratories and collaborate on innovative projects with students in other graduate programs.
Collaboration with Other Programs
Outside the classroom, music production, technology, and innovation students often find themselves working with peers across other graduate programs. They may collaborate with contemporary performance students to produce a new track or experiment with sound design for a live show, or partner with scoring students to create original electronic textures for film, television, and video games. They might also team up with students in the global entertainment and music business program to explore new models of promotion, marketing, and distribution. Because so many students at Berklee are also active musicians, these collaborations often extend beyond the studio into performances and events on and off campus, creating opportunities to test ideas, refine projects, and bring music to life in new ways.
