Fee Details
Comprehensive Fee
The comprehensive fee is mandatory for all students to cover services and facilities that augment the students' academic experience and includes, but is not limited to, students' required registration into the Spanish educational system, students' compulsory health insurance, and a variety of other services and facilities to which students have access.
Professional Recording Services Fee
In addition to tuition fees, this mandatory fee is billed to all scoring for film, television, and video games graduate students. The fee contributes to a fraction of the extraordinary studio and recording expenses unique to the scoring program. This includes: on-campus recording sessions with professional session musicians; remote recording sessions with professional orchestras; and an off-site recording session at a world-class studio.
Required Software Bundle
Required Software Bundles are purchased directly from Berklee College of Music and reflect the versions installed on the campus systems. Berklee has negotiated extremely reduced student pricing for these items. Students will receive the software bundle during the orientation week. Students cannot opt out of, or receive any exemption for, purchasing their program's software bundle. The software fee is included in the first tuition bill. Students are responsible for owning a laptop that meets the requirements. Learn more about technology requirements.
Late Fee
A $250 late payment fee will be applied to your account if full payment is not received by the due date indicated. Please keep in mind certain payment methods take longer to process than others and arrange accordingly.
Per-credit tuition Fee
Per-credit tuition fee: $1,480
Late Check-In Fee
A $250 late check-in fee is applied if you do not check-in by 12 noon the first day of class each term.
Financial Holds
Students are required to pay tuition and fees by the payment due date for each semester. If a student adds additional courses during the add/drop period, he or she must pay the additional fee(s) at the time of enrollment. If payment is not received, the college will make every internal effort to collect these funds. Restrictions will be placed on any account with an outstanding balance prohibiting access to grades, transcripts, degrees, diplomas, and participation in any future term at the college. The restriction will remain until the account is paid in full.
Tuition Insurance
As a supplement to the University Refund Policy, we also offer a Tuition Insurance program through Liberty Mutual Insurance which provides 100% reimbursement of all insured tuition, room and board, and some fees. Coverage includes withdrawal due to illness, injury, mental health issues and other reasons. Visit the Tuition Insurance page to learn more.
CE extension fee
If a CE extension is requested and approved by the Program Director, students will have until the first day of classes in the subsequent semester to complete their culminating experience/thesis without paying a fee. Any student whose completed culminating experience/thesis is not submitted by the first day of classes in the subsequent semester is required to pay a thesis continuation fee of $400.
