Housing
All students are guaranteed housing when studying abroad at Berklee Valencia, and our staff will make all the arrangements. After confirming their intentions to enroll at Berklee Valencia, students will be asked to complete a housing preferences form to indicate the type of room they would like. If requesting a double-room, students may also request specific roommates if they have particular people in mind. In accordance with room availability, our staff in Valencia try their best to honor these kinds of requests. For reasons of safety, security, and logistics, most Berklee Study Abroad students are required to live in this Berklee-provided residence.
Students who need special accommodations should reach out to Berklee as early as possible to be connected with relevant resources. Our Accessibility Resources for Students (ARS) team can be reached at the following email: accessibilityresources@berklee.edu
Residence
Our students live in a modern apartment-style residence called Livensa Living Studios: Valencia Marina Real. Located within walking-distance of the beach, numerous shops and restaurants, a supermarket, and several public transportation services, the Livensa building provides a great environment for students to thrive. A portion of the building’s rooms are reserved specifically for Berklee Valencia students, while other rooms in the building are used by students attending other universities in the city. This multicultural atmosphere enables our students to make connections with other university students from across Spain and Europe.
Studio apartment units come equipped with a desk, kitchen, mini fridge, and private bathroom. Single rooms and double-rooms (with a roommate from your Berklee program) are available. Sheets and blankets are provided with your room. You can check out this YouTube video for a virtual tour of the Livensa building.
Housing costs vary by room type. See Tuition and Related Costs for Study Abroad for more information.

Meals are not included with housing. Many students buy food at local supermarkets and prepare their meals at home. Housing Dates
Housing is available from the first day of student move-in to the last day of student move-out, as indicated on the academic calendar. It is not possible to move into the residence before the study abroad program has begun, nor is it possible to remain in the residence after your study abroad program enrollment has ended. Study abroad students enrolled for the full academic year continue to have access to their room during the winter break period. They may stay in their room (or securely leave their belongings there) during the time between the Fall and Spring semesters.
Arriving at the Residence
Once you arrive in Valencia, the easiest way to get from the airport or main railway stations with all your luggage to the residence is by taxi. There are taxi stands at the airport and train stations. The cost of a taxi is usually around €30 from the airport, or around €15 from anywhere within the downtown area of the city. You can pay for a taxi with cash or by credit card. Tell your taxi driver you are going to the following address:
Livensa Living Valencia Marina Real
Calle Francesc Cubells, 7
46011 Valencia, España
Getting to Campus
The Berklee campus is located approximately 1.5 miles (2.5 kilometers) from the student residence. Students can bike, walk, or take the public bus to school.
- Bike: Many students take advantage of Valencia's public bike-sharing system called Valenbisi. The bike ride between the residence and Berklee Valecia is about a 10 minutes' journey. For approximately €30 euros, students can sign up for a yearly pass that allows them unlimited use of bicycles, with the first half hour of each trip being free. There are Valenbisi stations located all around the city, including several that are close to the residence and to the campus.
- Walk: Valencia is known for its beautiful weather, with more than 300 days of sunshine each year! Walking is a great way to travel to campus, while getting some exercise and soaking in the sun. Average walking time is about 25 minutes.
- Bus: There are public buses that easily connect the residence with our campus. Bus Line 99 of the local EMT public transit system has an average travel time of 15 minutes between the residence and the stop at El Saler shopping mall (centro comercial), which is only 5 minutes walking distance from campus. Upon arrival in Valencia, students who are under the age of 30 can sign up for a monthly youth travel pass which provides free unlimited public transportation services throughout the city.
