Álvaro Monreal Cantó is an acoustics engineer, university lecturer, and musician based in Valencia. He holds an M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Acoustics Study Line, from the Technical University of Denmark, and worked as an audio R&D engineer at BQ before moving into teaching. He has taught mathematics, statistics, electronics, and physics at the university level since 2017.

Cantó is also a classically trained pianist and the singer and producer of the bands Imbermind and Navvier. Music is what brought him to acoustics in the first place.

Acoustics can feel abstract until you connect it to something you've heard in a room or on a record. Once that connection clicks, students start hearing their own work differently, and that's when the subject becomes useful instead of just theoretical."
