Elif Sanchez is an internationally acclaimed vocalist, composer, and arranger based in Madrid, whose distinctive sound bridges Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Latin, flamenco, and jazz traditions. A graduate of Istanbul University State Conservatory and Berklee College of Music, she has built an international career performing at major venues and festivals across Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East.
Throughout her career, Elif has performed and collaborated worldwide with internationally acclaimed artists including David Liebman, Terence Blanchard, Tigran Hamasyan, Jacob Collier, Alfredo Rodríguez, Pablo Ziegler, Aynur Doğan, Javier Limón, Rycardo Moreno, Kenan Doğulu, Nobuo Uematsu, and members of Dream Theater, among many others. She has also performed at venues including Boston Symphony Hall and the Boston Opera House.
Elif graduated from Berklee in 2017 with the Bill Pierce Award and Mediterranean Music Institute Award. Her work has received international recognition, including chart success with Mi Voz and her latest album, Así pues…, which reached #13 on the Transglobal World Music Charts.
She has released four albums: Elif Sanchez (2021), Mi Voz (2022), Stages of Love (2025), and Así pues… (2026). Her latest album features collaborations with Guinga, Antonio Serrano, Cenk Erdoğan, Dimitris Bakoulis, Ismail Lumanovski, Panagiotis Andreou, and Engin Günaydın, bringing together musical traditions from Türkiye, Brazil, Spain, and Greece.
1. Major International Venues & Festivals — Performed at Boston Symphony Hall, the Boston Opera House, Kresge Auditorium, Berklee Performance Center, Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre, CSO Ada Ankara, and major festivals including Formentera Jazz Festival, Istanbul Jazz Festival, Mersin International Music Festival, Bodrum Jazz Festival, Madrid Jazz Festival, Antalya Culture Route Festival, and Ecuador Jazz Festival.
2. International Collaborations — Performed and collaborated with internationally recognized artists including David Liebman, Terence Blanchard, Tigran Hamasyan, Jacob Collier, and Alfredo Rodríguez.
3. Dream Theater, Breaking the Fourth Wall — Featured as an oboist on Dream Theater’s live album Breaking the Fourth Wall, recorded at the Boston Opera House.
4. Mi Voz & Javier Limón — Released Mi Voz (2022), produced by 11-time Grammy-winning composer, guitarist, and producer Javier Limón, featuring a duet with Kenan Doğulu. Limón also invited her to participate as a guest artist in his Refuge of Sound project, which was featured by Spanish newspaper El País.
5. Four-Album Discography — Released four albums: Elif Sanchez (2021), Mi Voz (2022), Stages of Love (2025), and Así pues… (2026).

8. Ecuador Jazz Festival & Residency — Performed at Ecuador Jazz Festival in Quito and served as a guest vocal instructor/resident at Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
9. Berklee Recognition — Graduated from Berklee College of Music with the Bill Pierce Award and Mediterranean Music Institute Award and received the International Tour Scholarship.
10. Recording & Performance Work — Recorded and performed across jazz, world, Latin, and Mediterranean music, working as both a vocalist and oboist and appearing on recordings beyond her own four-album discography.
