What to Expect as a First Year Student Abroad Faculty and recent First Year Abroad Program students will talk about the academic and student experience for first year students and give tips on how to make the most of your first year at Berklee in Valencia. Representatives from Academic Affairs will also be present to answer questions about courses and course registration.

In this session, you'll get to meet fellow students going abroad with you, as well as students who have already studied in Valencia. Staff from Boston and Valencia will be available to answer any questions you have about preparing for Spain.

Valencia Campus Meet and Greet This is an opportunity to get to know some of the people you will encounter daily and have an opportunity to ask questions. Meet the director of Study Abroad and Special Programs as well as additional UG academic faculty and staff who will be working with and supporting UG study abroad students. Representatives from Academic and Student Affairs and other departments will also be present.

The Student Affairs, Diversity and Inclusion office is joined by Intersect Madrid to host this Identities Abroad session. The teams will encourage incoming Berklee Valencia students from all programs (First Year Abroad, Study Abroad, and graduates) to reflect on their identity in relation to their upcoming experience in the fall. Students will be provided with foundational tools and strategies to adapt to Spanish society and culture and reflect on their identity, in an effort to support them as they transition to life in Spain.

Drop-in Last-Minute Questions Before Arrival The director of Study Abroad and Special Programs and a representative of Student Affairs will answer any last-minute questions about what to expect or how to prepare for your arrival in Valencia.
