Elana Sasson Quartet at Novembre Jazz UPV Festival
Berklee Valencia alumni band Elana Sasson Quartet will perform at the auditorium of the Facultat de Belles Arts of the UPV on Monday, November 4, at 8:00 p.m. within the Novembre Jazz UPV Festival.
The quartet is inspired by the vibrant fusion of Mediterranean and Kurdish folk melodies with the harmonic language of contemporary jazz. Their music melds traditional idioms with modern harmonic colors, creating soundscapes that transport listeners between east and west and past and present, all underscored by rhythms influenced by Latin and Middle Eastern traditions.
The quartet features Elana Sasson MM ‘23 on voice, Santiago Bertel MM ‘23 on piano, Manos Stratis MM ’22 on bass, and Victor Goldschmidt MM ‘23 on drums.
Free access until maximum capacity is reached.
The Novembre Jazz UPV Festival celebrates its 30th edition this year. The festival is the fruit of the collaboration between the Universitat Politècnica de València and the Institut Valencià de Cultura de la Generalitat Valenciana. Throughout its 30 years of history, it has established itself as one of the most prestigious Valencian musical events both nationally and internationally, carrying out an important task of supporting emerging Valencian musical talent, as well as welcoming many prestigious international stars.
