Registered Students
If you have registered at Berklee Valencia’s Contemporary Arts and Music Program (BV CAMP - Youth), there are a number of steps to complete prior to the start of the program. Make sure to review the comprehensive list of action items below.
Complete Musical Background Form
Upon registering for the program, students should have received a link to the Musical Background form to complete with information about your musical training. If you have NOT completed this form, please do so ASAP. You will also be asked to submit a one- to two-minute video of playing your instrument. We will use this information to place you in appropriate groups based on skill level and instrumentation.
Acquire Travel Insurance
All students enrolled in one of the Berklee Valencia Summer Programs (BV-CAMP, Music Production and Summer Performance Program) will be required to show proof of a health insurance policy for the duration of their studies at Berklee prior to the start of the program. Please note that:
- Students who are Spanish citizens/nationals shall upload a copy of their Tarjeta Sanitaria Individual, or their European Health Insurance Card.
- Students who are not Spanish citizens/nationals shall upload either a copy of their European Health Insurance Card (if they are EU nationals) or a copy of an adequate and valid travel medical insurance policy which complies with EU regulations, to cover any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention, and/or emergency hospital treatment or death during their stay. You may use this information posted on the official website of the Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores, Unión Europea y Cooperación (Consulate of Washington) as a reference to indicate what would be in compliance with EU regulations.
A Note to Parents/Legal Guardians: Ensuring Proper Supervision of Minors
Berklee is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for your student to achieve their personal, academic, and artistic goals. Therefore, as a community member, you are responsible for reviewing, understanding, and abiding by the policies and regulations outlined in the Valencia Student Agreement, as well as all other Berklee policies and applicable laws, including the understanding that Berklee follows internal procedures, including policies and procedures for on-call staff, which allow professional staff tasked with this responsibility to know who to communicate with around incidents that may occur. Please note that Berklee reserves the right to amend and revise these policies at any time. Specific to the supervision of your student for the duration of the program, it is important that as the parent/legal guardian you understand and abide by the following policies:
- The Berklee Valencia BV CAMP – Youth is an academic program conducted strictly on-campus. It is not a residential program, and participants are required to arrange their own accommodations off-campus in non-Berklee-sponsored housing.
- Parents/legal guardians shall ensure proper supervision and accompaniment of minors (participants under 18 years of age, in any case, or still a minor, according to their national law) outside of the official program hours (9:00h to 18:00h), as well as during travel to and from Valencia.
- Parents/legal guardians or any person duly authorized by these must be present on site in Valencia (Spain) with participants, as they are responsible for dropping them off and picking them up from campus. Berklee does not provide supervision outside of program hours and is not responsible for participants beyond the designated official program hours. In addition, no participant shall leave the campus during official program hours without the supervision and approval of a Berklee Valencia staff member. Personal and contact information for individuals responsible for dropping off and picking up students will be requested through the Student Information Form (see “Required Information by May 31, 2026” section below). In cases in which the participant will be picked up by a person who is not their parent/legal guardian, the parent/legal guardian will need to submit this separate authorization through the Student Information Form. Any parent/legal guardian wishing to waive this requirement, allowing their student to come to campus and leave at the end of each day on their own (with no supervision) will also need to clearly state so through the Student Information Form via this separate form.
- Participants are responsible for their own lunch each day. Additional food may be provided by Berklee for special events. Participants with food allergies must register with the Accessibility Resources for Students office in Boston so these can be taken into consideration by the team in Valencia before the start of the program. This information will be handled confidentially and used solely for necessary health and safety measures. The canteen services and vending machines available on campus are operated by third parties and therefore Berklee does not have information regarding the food offered by such services and cannot guarantee food allergies and/or accommodations related to those services.
Required Information by May 31, 2026
BV CAMP – Youth Student Information Form
Complete the BV CAMP – Youth Student Information form. Berklee needs the following information for administration purposes during the program, which includes your passport number and emergency contact information. Please note that minors must also provide the passport number for one of their parents/legal guardians.
Complete Your Personal Student Agreement
Soon after completing the form above, you will receive a DocuSign email from Student Affairs giving you access to a personal Student Agreement, which students will need to complete and digitally sign. The Student Agreement includes Image Rights and Minor Consent in addition to other acknowledgements and authorizations. (*) Note that, in the case of students who are minors, it is the email address stated in the “Parent / Legal Guardian section” included in the Student Information Form who will first receive the DocuSign email containing the Student Agreement, therefore it is imperative that students provide a valid email address for parents/legal guardians in that section when submitting their information.
Submit Summer Student ID Headshot
Complete the form below, which includes the process of submitting a headshot. This is an essential step to access the Valencia campus.
Required Next Steps Before Arrival
Arrange Your Housing
Berklee Valencia does not offer student housing during the BV CAMP – Youth, but there are many options available for students to choose from. Visit our website for more information.
Check Passport and Visa Requirements
We recommend all students have a valid passport or travel document at least four to six months before your summer program in Spain. The passport or travel document must be valid at least three to six months beyond the planned date of departure. For certain nationalities, a valid visa may also be required. Please review Conditions for Entry into Spain for more information on visa requirements.
Ensure You Bring All the Required Equipment
Instruments: Students are expected to bring their own instruments. There are a few exceptions granted for large instruments such as piano or concert harp, which are available for classes and rehearsal. Additional instrumental needs:
- Drummers: sticks, cymbals, practice pads, and hi-hat clutch
- Vocalists: it is recommended to bring their own microphones and related cables (amps will be provided)
- Guitarists and electric bassists: cables, pedals and pickups as needed (amps will be provided)
For other large instruments please, consider reviewing the Valencia Student Handbook (p.30 and 31) for useful references on local music stores where you could potentially rent out an instrument.
Additional course materials: It is recommended to bring a tablet or similar device with a screen of at least 10 inches, with the operational system of your choice. This will be used to access materials in class and to read music sheets for instrument instruction and ensembles. In addition, students should have access to a Gmail account as all course materials and potential recordings will be shared via Google Classroom.
Having these items with you will allow you to participate in hands-on activities, practice sessions, and work on projects and assignments. It will also ensure that you can fully immerse yourself in the learning experience without being distracted by missing equipment.
Review Berklee’s policies and the Valencia Student Handbook
All official campus policies, essential resources, and key information about life in Valencia are outlined in the Berklee Valencia Student Handbook.
Before your arrival, please take some time to review the handbook and the following key documents:

Communicate Health and Wellness and/or Accessibility considerations
Email us at wellnessvalencia@berklee.edu if you have any concerns related to Health and Wellness that we should consider prior to your arrival.
Please note, too, that academic and dietary accommodations are available for students with disabilities enrolled in a summer program. Review the Accessibility Resources for Summer Programs website section to learn more about the process to request accommodations.
Staying Connected: Required Email Addresses
Participant's personal email:
Students may have used a non-Gmail account for the purposes of registration in the program. However, all students are required to have a Gmail account as the materials for all classes will be accessed through Google Classroom. A Gmail account is also required for the purposes of submitting the Personal Information Form aforementioned. Note, the Gmail email address created should be associated with the registered participant in the program, since this will be the main point of contact between our different offices and the student during their enrollment. iCloud accounts are not considered Gmail accounts.
Parent/legal guardian personal email
Note that, in the case of students who are minors, it is the email address stated in the Personal Information Form that will first receive the DocuSign email containing the Student Agreement. Therefore it is imperative that students provide a valid email address for parents/legal guardians here.
All students and parents/legal guardians should continue to check the emails used to enroll in the program for important information. Students will receive a detailed check-in email with information regarding their assigned arrival location and program schedule one to two weeks prior to the start date of their program.
