As part of La Fira de Berklee 2025, there will be three concerts taking place in the Teatre Martín y Soler: Past, Future, and Present. Each will showcase a different repertoire and primarily feature students in our Master of Music in Contemporary Performance (Production Concentration).
Present
Welcome to the now. It’s fun, it’s messy, it’s dazzling. The present doesn’t sit still—it dances, skips, stumbles, soars. It’s a beat you catch just in time, a melody you didn’t expect but suddenly love. This concert is all about being here, in this exact moment, before it slips into memory.
This is music that listens as it speaks, built on pulse and proximity. It lives in that flicker of immediacy: the shared inhale before the first note, the collective heartbeat of a room full of listeners. Here, we are not remembering or imagining. We are simply, deeply, here. And yes, it’s hard to define. The present shape-shifts. It’s the whisper between the past and the future, the blink where everything happens. We chase it. We ride it. And tonight, we celebrate it.
Tickets, free of charge, will be available at the entrance of the Berklee Valencia campus on Wednesday, July 2, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., or until sold out (each person will be able to take 2 tickets for their preferred concert).
