Graduating from Berklee Valencia in 2021 with a Master of Arts in global entertainment and music business, Camille Lopez-Silvero MA ’21 is today a senior artist relations manager at Deezer, one of the world’s leading music streaming platforms. In her role, she collaborates with independent labels and artists, helping them promote their releases and expand their reach in the French market and internationally. Passionate about amplifying independent voices, the young Paris-based music business professional focuses on ensuring that artists have the tools, visibility, and support they need to thrive on a global scale.
Before this chapter in her career, Lopez-Silvero completed her master’s at Berklee Valencia during a global pandemic, an experience that gave her a new perspective as the music industry underwent major changes. “Focusing on data, the recording industry, and new ways of doing things more virtually was actually really valuable going into my career afterward,” she says. From landing her first role at Deezer sparked by a connection with a fellow Berklee alum to collaborating with Berklee graduates, the Berklee connections continue to shape her path in the global music industry. “I learned how to network well within the industry at Berklee,” Lopez-Silvero explains. “I work a lot with people who are Berklee graduates and artists pitching their music to me. I’ve ended up crossing paths with so many Berklee alumni in my work—it’s really cool.”
Now, as senior artist relations manager she oversees projects that bridge discovery, promotion, and live performance, providing indie artists with tailored opportunities to shine. “What we're really offering international artists is a foothold into the French market,” she says. “France is becoming more and more key for the European market in general. So it's super important when artists are trying to break outside of the US or outside of the UK,” she continues.
One of the standout moments in her career has been her work on Deezer Sessions, which are live music recordings that showcase emerging artists in intimate, visually striking settings. This year, Lopez-Silvero worked on putting together a Deezer Session with Judeline, an emerging Spanish pop artist making a global impact.

She also worked with Finnish indie artist Joalin, whom she first met at the Great Escape Festival in the United Kingdom. “It was really exciting to go from that tiny stage to the Deezer session with her.”
Lopez-Silvero’s work on these sessions combines networking, client relations, and project management, ensuring artists’ campaigns are coordinated internationally and across social media, and in-person events for maximum impact.
“Even smaller artists get visibility and support, which makes a huge difference for their careers.” Lopez-Silvero has mastered the art of understanding indie artists and collaborating with talent from across the globe, a skill she attributes to Berklee Valencia’s courses, which offered a global perspective. She highlights Pete Dyson’s class, Globalization and Emerging Markets, as especially influential in shaping her understanding of how the music industry functions differently around the world. “It gave me a broader perspective that’s really useful in my job, working with labels and artists from so many countries,” she adds.
Over the summer, Lopez-Silvero was also involved in the Rooftop Sessions by Deezer, a summer series designed to showcase electronic artists in a unique live setting. The series began on the rooftop of Deezer’s Paris headquarters, offering panoramic views of the city, and quickly evolved to even more ambitious venues. “We actually did a rooftop session on the roof of the Pompidou Center, which is the second-largest museum in Paris, where we hosted 300 fans.” Past sessions have featured artists like Armin Van Buuren and Fatboy Slim, turning these events into one of the season’s standout highlights.
Looking ahead, the young senior manager is focused on continuing to make a tangible difference for artists from around the world and maintaining her connections with classmates who went on to pursue careers in Nashville, Amsterdam, China, and LA. “Meeting people from all over the world who share the same passion has been so valuable. Even though many of my friends ended up doing very different things, we still cross paths, and that community continues to inspire me.”
