Berklee Valencia Will Bring Together Music Industry Leaders For Global Career Summit This January
The event is a four-day bootcamp that focuses on professional development and career paths through a series of keynotes, panels, workshops, and individual mentoring sessions.
Visiting experts and thought leaders from various professional backgrounds will guide attendees through today’s multifaceted global music industry. Sessions will focus on providing practical knowledge that will support the participants’ professional development, mainly in the areas of business, film scoring, production, and songwriting.
This year, the conference will open its doors to non-Berklee Valencia students. Tickets are already available at the event’s website. Those who acquire their tickets before November 15 will benefit from the early bird discount price. They will also have the opportunity to apply to participate in the Berklee Showcase, the event’s closing concert that will be attended by a group of music promoters.
This year’s confirmed speakers include renowned industry professionals such as composer Amie Doherty, the first woman to compose the music for a Dreamworks animated film; promoter Iain Hill, who has been working with Live Nation Barcelona since 2001; Romain Palmieri, cofounder and CEO of Groover, which aims to empower and accelerate the careers of independent artists; and Olivier Robert Murphy, CEO of Spitfire Audio, whose company focuses on creating sounds for composers and creators. New confirmations will be updated on the summit’s website.
The program—filled with activities such as keynotes and talks with more than 20 industry experts and more than 10 hands-on career workshops at the basic, advanced, and expert levels—offers great networking opportunities with speakers and Berklee Valencia’s students, staff, and faculty; as well as the possibility to apply for an individual mentoring session with an industry expert.
Current Valencia students are directly enrolled in the Global Career Summit. Tickets for other Berklee students, alumni, and external attendees are available at special prices on the event's website.
