Production Tools for the Contemporary Performer

Faculty member Liz Teutsch and Program Director Magda Giannikou of the Master of Music in Contemporary Performance, Production Concentration lead a discussion on the numerous tools that a self-produced performer can employ as they take the listener on an emotional journey in their musical recordings. 

 

The Modern Management Agreement: Contractual Issues to Be Resolved

Pete Dyson, professor in the Master of Arts in Global Entertainment and Music Business, introduces how contractual issues and how agreements are resolved in the industry. 

 

Audio Visual Artistry in Ensemble

Marta Verde and Elysha Zaide, instructors in the Master of Music in Music Production, Technology, and Innovation talk about their professional work, how it connects to the classes they teach at Berklee, and will describe what they are doing with students with the Audio Visual Ensemble. 

 

Did You Hear the Music? The Function of Music in Film

Faculty member Vicente Ortiz, and Program Director Lucio Godoy of the Master of Music in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games explore how and to what extent the choice of music or the decision to remain silent impacts different types of film scenes. They will look at specific examples to explore this topic. Prepare to be amazed by how small changes can make a difference.

 

Songwriting: Catching the Muse

Viktorija Pilatovic, Assistant Professor in the First Year Abroad, Study Abroad, graduate, and Summer Performance programs will develop ideas and go through the creative process of catching the muse to sketch a song.
