Berklee Lollapalooza Master's Scholarship

Berklee College of Music and Lollapalooza Chile are awarding a full scholarship to one outstanding candidate from Chile. The full-tuition scholarship will allow a student to attend one of the master’s degree programs offered on Berklee's Valencia campus beginning in September of 2014. The Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes de Chile will cover the round-trip airfare to attend the program in Valencia.

The scholarship comes from a partnership between Berklee and Lollapalooza with the aim of bringing more outstanding musicians to Berklee in order to enable them to refine their musical skills through study at the international level.

How to Apply

To be considered for this scholarship, you must complete both the master’s admissions process as well as the master’s scholarship application inside our online application portal. The $150 master’s application fee is waived for citizens of Chile.

Berklee College of Music and Lollapalooza Chile are also awarding a full scholarship to one outstanding candidate from Chile to attend Berklee's Spain Summer Study Abroad program for undergraduate students. The Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes de Chile will cover the round-trip airfare to attend the program in Valencia.

Submit the online application and turn in the required materials. The $50 application fee is waived for citizens of Chile.

Meet Juan Cristobal Aliaga, 2013 Master's Scholarship Winner

Twenty-nine-year-old guitarist Juan Cristobal Aliaga was awarded the Lollapalooza Chile Scholarship to attend Berklee’s Valencia campus, where he is studying in the master’s program in contemporary performance.

“I am really happy to be the first person from Chile to have this scholarship,” says Aliaga, who is one of the four guitarists currently studying at the campus situated at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia, Spain. “Teachers here are very committed to what they teach. We have been getting a lot of practical experience; it’s very good to open yourself to the form of art as well as to the music business in general.”
