Latin American Music Week

Sergio Elmir of Futuro Libre Creative Agency presents to students during Latin American Music Week

For the fourth year in a row, IFPI’s Global Music Report showcases Latin American music as having the second highest global growth at 16.8 percent, with 14-15 percent of the music coming from Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and Colombia. These were just some of the numbers presented to students during Latin American Music Week at Berklee's Valencia campus. From May 20-24, 2019, students from the Master of Arts in Global Entertainment and Music Business program attended four industry-specific seminars, which were packed with guest speakers, presentations, performances, and more. Prominent guests included Sergio Elmir (Futuro Libre Creative Agency), Allie Silver (Free Radical Production), Felix Contreras (NPR Alt.Latino), Camilo Lara (Casete), Juan Paz (Peace Management), and many more.
