In Their Own Words

“My main goal is to equip students with tools needed to be successful musicians in all aspects of music. Being a musician is much more than just mastering your instrument. As artists, we have a responsibility toward society, and I would like every student coming out of this program to be a ‘socially responsible musician,’ which is a concept I have developed during 10-plus years working with people with special needs.”

“Being an open-minded and curious musician enabled me to be part of so many different musical settings, from salsa to Arabic music and everything in between, enriching my musicianship and gearing me up to be a better teacher, as well. Students at Berklee have a unique opportunity to expand their musical knowledge due to very diverse backgrounds of students, faculty, and visiting artists.”

“Not everyone is learning the same way, and being able to tap someone’s potential is my ultimate desire as a teacher.”
