Berklee’s campus in Valencia, Spain, is collaborating with the City of Arts and Sciences on an initiative to promote free, high-quality music in the city. The concert on Friday, June 14 will feature Berklee student bands, composed of graduate and undergraduate students, performing jazz, R&B, soul, pop, and Latin music.

Performers include Celestine Manno, Dana Fakhouri, and Sia Mozaffari, all students in the Master of Music in Music Production, Technology and Innovation program, as well as Hami Keivan and Apoorva Krishna, students in the Master of Music in Contemporary Performance (Production Concentration) program.

Lineup:

  • Celestine and Earlybird, featuring Celestine Manno and Dana Fakhouri, combines individual personalities to create unique music and memorable performances. Celestine is an American indie/electronic singer-songwriter and producer who writes honest and relatable lyrics. Earlybird, an electronic producer from Lebanon, uses organic sounds to create instrumentals.

  • Sia Mozaffari is an Iranian American multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer, producer, and DJ from Oakland, California. He has performed in a wide variety of bands, from R&B to funk to psychedelic cumbia. His DJ sets often draw from his interest in traveling and soaking up the music of different cultures.

  • Hami Keivan and Apoorva Krishna combine instruments in an imaginative, improvised musical session. Keivan is an Iranian pianist with broad experience on piano, contemporary composition, fusion, and jazz improvisation. Krishna is a South Indian classical violinist in the Carnatic genre. She loves collaborating with artists of non-Indian musical styles, as well as exposing Indian classical music to the global audience.
