Berklee student Tonina Saputo will offer a concert at Festival Ellas Crean. After spending a semester at Berklee's campus in Valencia in Fall 2014 under the Berklee Study Abroad program and recording a cover song of "Historia de un Amor" (with 93,000 views on Youtube and counting) on a session produced by Berklee's Mediterranean Music Institute (MMI), Tonina returned to the Boston campus, where she is currently completing her bachelor degree.
Born in San Diego and raised in Missouri by her Ugandan father and Sicilian mother, Tonina possesses a truly charismatic and unique voice, combined with her prodigious command of the double bass. This talented young artist will perform a selection of jazz inspired songs in this renowned festival under the mentorship of MMI's artistic director Javier Limón.
Entrance is free and on a first-comes first-served basis until the venue is full.
