On September 17 at 10:00 p.m., double bass faculty Matthew Baker will perform at Sala Gótico at Castillo Peñiscola with his trio, the Valencia Baryton Project.

For this performance, Baker will play the baryton, a classical-era string instrument that only a handful of people in the world play. From Haydn to Tomasini, Brazilian choros to Japanese folk songs, the Valencia Baryton Project has a diverse range of music and works with various instrumentation, from two to eight players and from soprano to frame drum.

Admission is free until seating is complete. See more information on the program here.
