Berklee student Juan Manuel Guevara will be performing at the Christmas concert organized by the Recycled Instruments Orchestra from Asunción, Paraguay.

Fabio Chávez, a Paraguayan musician, started this project when he decided to use the materials he found in the Cateura garbage dump, in the Paraguayan capital, to make instruments and teach kids music. He gathered 20 of the dump workers' children and they began to build guitars, violins, saxophones and many other instruments, which they used later on to form an orchestra.

On Friday January the 2nd, they will offer their very first concert in Valencia, at the Palau de les Arts. All the money that is raised will go directly to their foundation, that works to form orchestras in other places that suffer severe poverty such as Africa or Haiti.

Other Spanish artists and a local choir will also be featured.
