Director of Academic Affairs Victoriano Darias will be a guest speaker at the 9th annual edition of Vienna Music Business Research Days, taking place from September 12 to September 14, 2018.

Vienna Music Business Research Days is an annual academic conference, run in conjunction with the Vienna Waves Festival. The conference brings scholars from many disciplines together with music business professionals in Vienna each year. The conference provides a platform for the presentation of the latest music business research, and a forum for debate and the exchange of ideas.

The event is organized by the International Music Business Research Association (IMBRA) and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Among the participants, there is a mix of academics, including professors from entities such as the Princeton University, Belmont University, Erasmus University Rotterdam or the University of Westminster, and music industry professionals representing the International Managers Forum, the Reeperbahn Hamburg festivals, Eurosonic Noorderslag or LiveKomm.

Darias will present his paper "Content ID as a Solution to Address the Value Gap", which will also be published in the next edition of the Journal of the Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association (MEIEA).
