On September 20 at 7:30 p.m., double bass faculty Matthew Baker will perform at the Real Jazz Festival in Vila-Real, Spain, with his jazz trio, JPMB, featuring British pianist and film composer John Pickup and Dani Dominguez, one of the most sought-after drummers on the Spanish scene.

JPMB have mixed the roles of the traditional  jazz duo, creating new and vibrant music while performing it in their own style. They’ve created a genre with the precision and scope of classical and contemporary music, and the inspiration of improvised jazz. The band performs its own original compositions as well as music from the silver screen and modern-day standards.

Admission is free until seating is complete. Find more information here.
