As part of the 132 edition of the International Music Band Contest “Ciudad de Valencia”  2018 (CIBM), a conference-exhibition will be held on March 11 at Palau de la Música in Valencia, during which the mandatory pieces of the contest will be performed. Among their composers, Guillermo Ruano M.M. ’17 and Vicente Ortíz Gimeno, alumnus and current instructor in the Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games graduate program, respectively, will participate presenting their works and will answer the potential questions around them.

Mandatory pieces

· SAGITTARIUS, composed by Guillermo Ruano (Third Division).
· UN DEBER DE AMOR, composed by Vicente Ortíz Gimeno (Second Division).
· JOGLARESC, composed by Francisco Bort (First Division).
· SINFONIETTA # 1, composed by Bart Picqueur (Honorary Division).
