Nacho Marco has been invited to offer the workshop “Applied Analog Synthesis” in which only a Modular basic system and a DAW are used to create a Deep House track in 50 min. Every sound in the track (Bass drum, snare, hi-hat, bass, leads, and pads) is designed using a monophonic modular synth and sequenced/overdubbed using Ableton Live. Basic concepts of analog synthesis will be explained in the process.
Outline : -Subtractive Synthesis: from the VCO to the VCA -The Use of Filters and Envelopes -Sound Design: Creating Drums, Bass, Pads, and Lead -Leveling the Premix -Recording stems into Ableton -Jamming on the Stems -Mixing a Premaster in the Box
