Maxwell Moya, senior coordinator of the International Career Center at Berklee’s campus in Valencia, Spain, is the organizer of the fifth annual Formentera Jazz Festival from June 6–9.

On Saturday, June 8, the festival hosts an impressive lineup that includes Berklee instructor Perico Sambeat; Berklee Study Abroad alumna Tonina Saputo.

Berklee Study Abroad students Colescott Rubin and Max Holm; and Travis Collins, a student in the Master of Music in Contemporary Performance (Production Concentration) program, will be performing on Thursday, June 6.

Formentera is the least inhabited of the Balearic Islands off the east coast of Spain. The festival captures the artistic curiosity that the island inspires in its inhabitants and visitors. With its wonderful artistic history, it was only a matter of time before the island had its own music festival.
