Concerts a la Fundació – Guitar Night

Berklee Valencia partners with Fundación Bancaja, Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo of Valencia, Fundación Eutherpe and Pavasal for Concerts a la Fundació, a series of concerts taking place every Friday evening at 8 p.m. from October 2017 to April 2018. The initiative focuses on supporting students and artists currently studying music in Valencia by providing a platform on which to feature their artistry.

Berklee Valencia students will participate in five of the concerts hosted by the initiative. Concerts are free to the public and feature compositions ranging from jazz to flamenco and Mediterranean styles.

The next edition of this concert series, "Guitar Night", will present instrumentalists from across the globe demonstrating the versatility of the guitar and related instruments drawing from their diverse backgrounds: Mohannad Nasser from Syria juxtaposing the Arabic sounds of the oud with guitar; Dan Caton from the United States drawing from both early American jazz and acoustic roots music; and Sergio Martín of Colombia mixing elements of Latin jazz and rock.
