In September 19, 2017, Hurricane Maria devastated the whole island of Puerto Rico. Catalogued as the “worst hurricane in the history of Puerto Rico”, caused massive flooding, left most of the water undrinkable, and destroyed the electrical grid for the entire island of 3.4 million people. At this moment, Puerto Rico is in an urgent state. Months after the catastrophe, the island is still facing the same problems. There’s still little power on the island. In many places, there’s still no water to drink or bathe in or to flush toilets. There’s limited food and cell service, and dozens of remote villages have been completely cut off from everything for weeks.

“Somos Puerto Rico: Edición Valencia” is an event organized by Global Entertainment and Music Business Alumni & 2017-2018 Fellow Student Shana Swayne alongside Laura Vidal, 2017-18 GEMB Student from Berklee College of Music, Valencia campus, who are committed to help in the restoration of Puerto Rico. On Sunday, November 19, 2017,18:00, 16 Toneladas and White House Records will join together in support of Puerto Rico. You will be able to enjoy various musical acts that have donated their talent in support of the cause. Some of these acts are, local Valencian bands, “Tú Ves Ovnis” and “Odd Cherry Pie”, ensembles invited from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, “Vitamin Collective” and other DJs.

Entrance is 10 €. All donations will go to towards disaster reliefs in Puerto Rico.
