Lit Frequency, a Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop, and an Electronic band composed of Berklee's campus in Valencia students Alexjandria Edwards (Xela V), Issaya Rouson, Dr.dJ, and Brian Zani will lead the B Jam sessions organized by the Radio City Valencia venue, in Valencia.
Xela V hails from “Motown” Detroit, Michigan. Classically trained in Opera, R&B, Soul, Pop, Jazz, and Country, she brings over 17 years of performing experience throughout the U.S. and overseas. Xela V has worked with Renée Fleming at John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, performed at the Motorcity Soundboard, won international vocal competitions in Mexico, Abu Dhabi, and The American Idol Experience in Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Currently, Xela V is earning her Master of Arts in Global Entertainment and Music Business at The Berklee College of Music here in Valencia.
Issaya Rouson is a drummer, pianist, producer, and composer from Washington, D.C. He has worked with artists such as Kevin Mahogany, Sam Prather’s Groove Orchestra, Randy Brecker and has performed at many venues including the Kennedy Center, Blues Alley, and the Howard Theatre. He is currently pursuing a masters in Music Production at Berklee Valencia.
Brian Zani is a mixing engineer and bassist originally from Nashville Tennessee in the United States. After working on various funk & groove styled recordings, he plans to take those influences to the stage for a Valencian crowd. Currently enrolled at Berklee College of Music, Brian is excited to share his passion for music and with locals all around the city.
Dr.dJ is a pianist, producer, composer, and DJ from south Florida in the United States. He got his start as a jazz musician and bandleader in New Orleans, Louisiana and now resides here in Valencia, Spain as a part of the Berklee Valencia Master’s in Music Production, Technology, and Innovation program. Dr.dJ’s goal as an entertainer is to create a positive environment for dancing, dining, and enjoying the ambiance of nightlife.
