The Valencia campus hosted an annual edition of TEDxBerkleeValencia from 2014 until 2017.
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to “ideas worth spreading.” Started as a four-day conference in California almost 30 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. The two annual TED conferences invite the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes on a diverse mix of topics.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx—where x=independently organized TED event—, a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
The event was called TEDxBerkleeValencia. At TEDxBerkleeValencia, TEDTalks video and live speakers combined to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED conference provided general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, was self-organized.
