Mediterranean Music Institute | Berklee Valencia Campus

Mediterranean Music Institute

Berklee’s campus in Valencia plays a vital role at promoting the importance of Mediterranean music in Spain and Europe.

Deeply rooted in traditions from the past while embracing modernity, the city of Valencia has long been a crossroads of countless artistic influences from the Mediterranean region, which has led to a strong local music culture.

For this reason, the Valencia campus is tightly involved with Berklee’s Mediterranean Music Institute in a number of ways, ranging from concerts and festivals showcasing world-class Mediterranean music artists to recording sessions at the campus' state-of-the-art studios with students and resident artists. In addition, students doing the minor in Mediterranean music at Berklee’s campus in Boston must spend one semester on the Valencia campus.
