Extended Application Deadline for Graduate Programs: March 10 Apply now
For the third consecutive year, Berklee’s campus in Valencia, Spain, will distribute up to €80,000 in scholarships to Valencian students who have been admitted to its master's degree programs. Berklee Valencia’s application deadline is Thursday, March 10; candidates that wish to apply for the scholarship must submit all required materials by Tuesday, April 12.
The scholarship program is part of an agreement with La Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències formalizing that Berklee will continue academic activity in the city of Valencia for at least 20 years. El Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, Fundació de la Comunitat Valenciana, is joining the agreement as part of its monitoring committee.
In addition to creating the scholarship program, the agreement reaffirmed Berklee's commitment to promoting Valencian talent, developing enriching cultural and musical programs at La Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, and engaging in local community outreach projects.
Forty-four students from the Valencian autonomous community have studied at Berklee Valencia since the campus opened its doors in 2012. Seven students from the region have already benefited from this scholarship program. The last time scholarships were awarded, the funds were distributed among four students currently enrolled in Berklee’s scoring for film, television, and video games; music production, technology, and innovation: and contemporary performance (production concentration) programs.
The agreement’s monitoring committee includes representatives from Berklee Valencia, the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, and the Palau de Les Arts. Scholarship funds are allocated based on artistic, academic, and professional accomplishments as well as the financial resources of the candidates.
The terms and conditions of the new call for applications are now available on the Berklee Valencia website.
