Berklee Valencia and World Design Capital Sign Collaboration Agreement

Valencia World Design Capital

Berklee’s campus in Valencia, Spain, announces that it has signed a collaboration agreement with World Design Capital. The institutions are teaming up to promote and explore cutting-edge activities, innovation, and new technologies in the fields of music and design, with activities for students and the general public. The partnership is based on the idea that music and design are universal languages that share creativity, stimulate the senses, and continuously innovate.

The World Design Organization (WDO) is an international nongovernmental organization founded in 1957 to promote the profession of industrial design. WDO advocates industrial-design-driven innovation that creates a better world, engaging more than 150 member organizations in collaborative efforts and carrying out international programming.

Each year the WDO selects a different city as its World Design Capital. Valencia was chosen for 2022; it aims to promote and enhance the quality of its creative sector, making it the main agent for social change and urban innovation. The city’s goal is to create a series of initiatives that will reimagine design beyond 2022.
