On November 27, Valencian radio and television media outlet À Punt Mèdia and Berklee’s campus in Valencia signed a collaboration agreement focused on the spread and promotion of musical culture. Together the two institutions will work to give more visibility to the creative industries in the region and encourage Berklee Valencia’s students and À Punt Mèdia’s employees to learn from each other. The agreement was signed by Empar Marco, À Punt Mèdia’s executive director, and María M. Iturriaga, executive director at Berklee Valencia.
The partnership will take the form of collaboration in both production and the spread of audiovisual contents, and will include training programs for Berklee students, who will be able to access the different scholarships and internships À Punt Mèdia is developing. The agreement also includes the organization of joint activities including seminars, courses, and conferences, among other options.
“This collaboration with À Punt Mèdia helps us to get closer to the Valencian audience and provides us with the opportunity of working with new formats, productions, and pioneer initiatives that feature the creativity and the talent coming from Berklee Valencia,” said Iturriaga. “It also allows us to find synergies by bringing together Valencian culture and talent with the diversity of the campus and the broad musical opportunities that Berklee has to offer.''
