Berklee’s Valencia campus announces limited scholarships for local students in Valencia, Spain to attend the Summer Performance Program. Scholarships will be available to students of every instrument, including voice, with preference given to bass and drum set players.
The program will take place July 21 through August 1. This international program features world-renowned faculty as well as state-of-the-art facilities, including the latest in recording technology.
The goals of the Summer Performance Program, which will take place at the Berklee campus in Valencia, is to help students develop a better stage presence and to give vocalists and instrumentalists the necessary tools to commence a successful musical journey.
The program seeks to give students the opportunity to perfect their style, as well as to explore other contemporary styles of music like jazz, Latin soul, pop/rock, and Mediterranean music. Apart from interpretation, the program explores theory, production, and music technology.
During the two-week course, students will participate in master classes, clinics, workshops, and ensemble performances. The clinics and master classes will feature Berklee faculty, as well as internationally renowned guests. The recording and production workshops will be led by Berklee engineers and faculty.
The program will feature three open-air public events that will take place at the Lago del Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe of the City of Arts and Sciences on July 21 and 25, and August 1. Interested candidates can apply until July 9 through the Berklee’s Valencia Campus website. Students from Valencia will receive an email explaining how to apply for the scholarship after they have completed the application, paid the application fee, and have been accepted to the program.
Students from the Universitat Polítècnica de Valencia (UPV) receive a 10% discount by submitting a copy of their student ID.
