The event will bring together more than 25 global industry leaders in the music industry.

December 19, 2023

On January 16–19, 2024, Berklee Valencia will present the eighth edition of the Berklee Global Career Summit at CaixaForum València. The event is a four-day conference that focuses on professional development and career paths in the music industry.

More than 25 industry leaders will participate as speakers and mentors with the goal of inspiring and providing attendees with the tools necessary to advance their careers in the industry. Through a series of keynotes, panels, workshops, and individual mentoring sessions, the conference will have a focus in the areas of business, film scoring, production, and songwriting.

The conference, which offers great networking opportunities with speakers and Berklee Valencia’s students, staff, and faculty—as well as the possibility to apply for an individual mentoring session with an industry expert—will be open to non-Berklee Valencia students with a limited number of tickets available at the event’s website for $239. Current Valencia students are directly enrolled in the Global Career Summit.

This year’s confirmed speakers include renowned industry professionals such as Louisa Rainbird, head of music, Europe, for Amazon Studios, whose team focuses on music for Amazon Original series and movies across the region; Will Littlejohn, sound designer, post-production supervisor, and music producer with more than 20 years of audio design experience in film, television, commercials, games, and product development; Jeanine McLean, president of the dynamo artist management company MBK Entertainment Inc., whose accolades include Billboard Women in Music, Billboard Power Player, Pollstar, and the Ebony Power 100 List: and Kathryn Bostic, Emmy-nominated, award-winning composer and artist known for her work on films, TV, theater, and symphonic music. All speakers can be found on the summit’s website.

The event will close with its traditional Berklee Showcase, a free concert, open to the general audience until maximum capacity is reached. The concert, which will take place at 9:00 p.m. at Sala Jerusalem, in Valencia, is an opportunity to enjoy the talent of students and emerging artists who will present their personal projects to the community.
